About the Sea Cucumber (Sea Pig)
The deep-seas most abundant large animal. They use modified tube feet as legs to walk across the abyssal plain. They are among the most common animals seen in deep-sea footage. They orient themselves facing into the current to catch falling detritus. They are found at extreme depths throughout the world ocean. They are translucent and pinkish. They have 7 pairs of leg-like tube feet. They are scavengers of the deep. Their populations can reach hundreds per square meter. They are sometimes called scotoplanes.
