About the Barracuda (Great)

One of the fastest fish in the sea, reaching 58 km/h in bursts. They are attracted to shiny objects, sometimes biting jewelry or watches mistaken for fish scales. They have two sets of teeth - fangs for grasping and cutting teeth for shearing. They are curious and sometimes follow divers. Their flesh can cause ciguatera poisoning in some regions. They can live 14+ years. They are found in tropical waters worldwide. They are solitary hunters. They have been known to leap into boats. Over 20 species of barracuda exist.
