About the Great White Shark

The apex predator of the ocean. They can detect a single drop of blood in 100 liters of water. Their bite force exceeds 18,000 newtons. They have 300 serrated teeth arranged in rows, replacing lost teeth throughout their lives. They can breach completely out of the water when attacking prey from below. They have been around for 16 million years. Their body temperature is 14 degrees C above the surrounding water, making them warm-blooded. Despite their reputation, they kill fewer than 10 humans per year. Humans kill 100 million sharks annually.
